The Cornbinder Connection is a full color quarterly publication covering IH trucks & Scouts started in 2012. It is a sister publication to the Cadet Connection. At this time we are seeking restoration stories, pictures, or anything else related to any IH truck or Scout vehicle, to use in an upcoming issue.Check out the website at: www.cornbinderconnection.com.
What the Magazine Covers: This magazine exclusively covers IH trucks & Scouts. It primarily covers the light line vehicles, but we have added coverage on the larger IH trucks as well! It includes the history of IH vehicles beginning in the early 1900's with the Auto Wagon, to when the line ended in the early 1980's when the last Scout rolled off the assembly line. This publication is the same quality level as the Cadet magazine which again is a full color publication! Because we publish the magazine as a hobby for the most part, the Cadet Connection magazine is a very subscriber interactive magazine to the extent that alot of the content is from folks sending in pictures and stories about their Cub Cadet projects for use in the magazine. This has worked out very well over the years with the Cadet Connection and we take this same approach with the Cornbinder Connection magazine as well.
Our Experience:
We've been in the magazine publishing business for 22 plus years now after starting the Cadet Connection magazine in the fall of 2001. The Cadet Connection magazine covers the entire line of Cub Cadet power equipment from 1961 to present. It started off as a 16 page mostly black & white newsletter, and has now blossomed into a 32 page full color magazine. We have reached subscribers in 49 states, Canada, and 6 countries overseas! Who We Are:
We are the Sell family from Butler, PA. We grew up in an all IH family in rural western PA. Our grandfather used IH farm and lawn & garden equipment on his small farm. Our uncle used IH light trucks and large IH trucks in his trucking business for years. Our own direct experience was our Dad who drove IH pickups and also had IH farm tractors and IH Cub Cadet garden tractors at our home his entire adult life. To this day, our Dad, and us three brothers are avid IH equipment and memorabilia collectors! We have been attending IH shows for more than 2 decades and can often be found at gas & steam engine shows throughout the tri-state area during the spring and summer months promoting both the Cadet Connection and Conbinder Connection magazines. You can also read more about our family on the Cadet Connection website in the 'A Little About Us' page and the 'Founded in 2001' page.
The Motivation:
Like the reasons behind us starting the Cadet Connection magazine over 19 years ago, the truck line was one of the major reasons behind why IH became the corporate giant and key player in the mechanical revolution of the 20th century. This is an opportunity for all those folks who own, collect, use, or just enjoy a small IH vehicle, to share stories and pictures about them in a print media. So if you have a love for an IH vehicle like we do, subscribe today to the CornBinder Connection.
